Question of the Week : Is art important today ?
Stephanie is a super-cool human being in our art class. Towards the end of class, she initiated the ‘Classmate Conversation’ with me. I immediately felt comfortable with her through all the positive, good vibes she oozes. She shared with me how art is important today and how art acts as a haven, or “escape” for one to transcend into. One can enter the left hemispheres of their brain and come into a rest as they simply create art with whichever medium he or she deems fit. Stephanie shared how she enjoys doodling in her notes, probably because she gets bored in class and would rather exist in the euphoria that art brings to the mind, body, and soul. We talked about how art keeps the world sane by letting our imaginations loose. Art is also meant to be shared and exhibited so others can hopefully feel the message and heart that the artist wants to portray. Thank God for art.
